2025-2026 Wine Sponsors

Dobra Zemlja Winery

Founded in 1995 by Milan and Victoria Matulich, Dobra Zemlja Winery—which means “good earth” in Croatian—specializes in bold, unfiltered red wines known for their depth and character. True to their motto, “Big Amador Reds, No Lightweights,” the winery highlights the robust varietals that thrive in Amador County, including Viognier, Grenache, Sangiovese, Barbera, Syrah, and Zinfandel.

Winemaker and Owner Milan Matulich believes that the grape makes the wine. In keeping with this philosophy, Dobra Zemlja allows the native yeast present on the grape to control fermentation. All wines are unfiltered and unfined, allowing the true character of the grape and the unique terroir of Amador County to shine through. The winery follows a minimalist approach—minimally intruding in the process that is encoded in the ancestral heart of the grape.

Located beneath a historic barn, Dobra Zemlja opened its tasting room in August 1997 inside Amador County’s first wine cave. Guests are welcome daily—11am to 5pm (March–October) and 11am to 4:30pm (November–February)—to sample wines and relax on the tree-shaded picnic grounds. Bring a picnic or choose from a selection of deli items available on-site.

We are proud to honor Dobra Zemlja Winery as one of our Winer Sponsors of the Year, celebrating their commitment to exceptional wines and community partnership.

2023 - 2026 Truckee Soirée Wine Sponsor

De La Montanya Winery

De La Montanya is a family-owned, Boutique Winery in Sonoma County. They have sponsored delicious wines for all our Truckee Soirees, following the fortuitous reconnection of the college friendship between the winery founder and a Tahoe Phil member.

A colorful legacy of Northern California pioneers, farmers and purveyors of wine has transcended six generations of the     De La Montanya family. In 1995, they founded De La Montanya Estate Vineyards with the planting of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Viognier grapes at their Home Ranch in the heart of Russian River Valley. Eight years later, in the summer of 2003, the winery and tasting room was opened in Healdsburg. Tasting events are now held year round. Check out their website at dlmwine.com.

Today, they have over 200 acres of vineyards planted throughout Sonoma and Lake Counties. The appellations include Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, Petaluma Gap, Red Wood Valley, Mendocino, and Big Valley in Lake County.

They hand-pick the very best clusters from each of these vineyards to bring into the winery to produce a total of 3,600 cases annually. Specializing in small-batch, handcrafted winemaking, they make over 30 different varietals. Their signature wines include Viognier, Zinfandel, Primitivo, Tempranillo, Pinot Noir and Red Blends from a broad spectrum of Bordeaux varietals.

De La Montanya Winery has been       recognized for its exceptional  winemaking with several awards at the  Sonoma County Harvest Fair, including the Sweepstakes!

“De La Montanya Winery is where you experience wine the way it was intended to be… surrounded by good people and a beautiful view.”
